Just Another Day of the Week

Recent morning notes to my daughter, sometimes composed at around 4 AM.

Happy Hump Day

We are all here on earth
A quote for today:
"We are all here on earth to help others; what on earth the others are here for I don't know."

This prompted a little exploration into a few of the famous poems by Auden.  Score one for the Morning Notes.

At long last, it is Friday.

On this date in 2002, President George W. Bush signed into law the No Child Left Behind Act.  You were 1 1/2 years old.

A quote for today: "Mondays are a good day to make statements, not Friday."  - Ernie Els

Thankfully, we did not have to discuss the NCLB Act.

That's all I've got for today.  Happy humph day.

I hope she saves every note you ever write to her. What a treasure! And you are such a terrific mom!

I love your morning notes so much. And "humph" day is about a thousand times better than "hump" day.

I used to leave notes for Emma in her lunch. But high school has made her so grumpy in the mornings (and I have to actually see her, in real life) that I'm scared to even crack a joke.

I love that Auden quote. He's the author that Isabel Dalhousie is often quoting in the Sunday Philosphy Club series.
