June 1999. Younger Daughter is one day old! |
“And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth
day. We shall call it Thursday. And we shall throw back on this Thursday,
because we like alliteration. And we
shall display all manner of ancient photographs, especially those from our
children’s earliest years. For they look
adorable and bring joy to our hearts.”
- The Book of Jubilations 3:1-3

I love this post. What a great set of siblings :-) There is always something so amazing about looking at the pictures of such honest joyful expression on the faces of younger kids. And also, in knowing that you enjoy them even more as young adults.
I love the connections between siblings visible in these photos! And I think I need a verse-a-day calendar from the Book of Jubilations.
Maybe it’s that time of year
That brings us mommies lots of tears
Throwback Thursday is bad enough
Without baby pictures and all that stuff
You like alliteration, I like rhyme
Our blogs of late have marked the passage of time
My iambic pentameter is off kilter, I know
I’m playing with words so my tears don’t show
Our kids our growing up, which means we’re getting old
“It’s normal, get over yourself,” I’m constantly told…
Thanks for posting and letting us in on the fun
Our jobs as mothers will never be done!
Erris, a wonderful expression of what's going on in my Mommy head! Well done!
Precious kids, precious photos, precious memories -- the very best representation of TBT. (And yes, I know that's not a real sentence!)
I really love the final picture in this montage, and I'm smiling because I can see your face in your oldest daughter's face. I'm also smiling because our youngest children are just a month apart in age.
I love them!
