It might have been because I'm thoroughly tired of attending open house nights (our 4th kid is now in 10th grade) or it might have been because it went to 8:30pm and the kid needs a ride home from karate at 7:30pm. Or it might have been the glass of strong beer from the new local craft brewery I had at 5pm (it impaired my give-a-darn). But now I feel guilty.Karen (formerly kcinnova)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08965093440928340819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1805554874942481868.post-69561709124869238052015-10-01T22:00:31.930-04:002015-10-01T22:00:31.930-04:00Ami, all I can say is "Ugh!" He had a couple of wonderful things to say. He opened with 'I teach 3 AP English classes, so I don't have much time for this class.' He then explained that the really bright students stack up on AP classes to increase their GPA, so they no longer take the yearbook class. What a parent in that classroom hears: "Your child is not bright". SIGH. But Noah has a couple of wonderful teachers, as well as 3 other yearbook teachers (who hopefully don't share the one man's opinion), so c'est la vie. My last open house ever!!!<br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15553700034922041080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1805554874942481868.post-67601312092380064082015-10-01T11:43:33.407-04:002015-10-01T11:43:33.407-04:00Glad she has such terrific teachers! I have, however, just signed up for PT conferences (which I have to do by myself, since Rob teaches that evening) and I'm looking forward to meeting Emma's teachers. Especially because she likes most of them so much.Cassihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04058787761575567910noreply@blogger.com
